- Today we evaluated our restaurant ordering - We took a brief look at some culture pieces from high schools in France and the verb Avoir SCIENCES 8 - Presentations on vision disorders started today and will continue tomorrow *** Open notes and textbook test on Chp 6 Wednesday (in room 130) SCIENCES 9 - Review and catch up day for electricity....see photo below for pratice questions for tomorrow's unit test INTERIMS WENT HOME TODAY TO EVERYONE!!! If the mark was below at 60% parents are asked to please sign them and send them back for Monday. Thanks :)
SCIENCES 8 - Today we had our "jig-saw" presentations of the notes for section 6-2 and then the remainder of the class was dedicated to working on either the science fair projects or the vision disorder projects. LINK TO TODAY'S NOTES: https://bit.ly/2W1VCXk *** Vision disorder projects are to be presented Monday and Tuesday *** Chapter 6 (open book and notes test will be Wednesday next week) FSL 8 - Today we used the class time to plan our Quartier Latin projects and to practice our restaurant ordering for Monday's evaluation. SCIENCES 9 - Today we watched our videos for the circuit buzzers and then spend the class reviewing for Tuesday's Unit test on Electricity. SCIENCES 9 - Today we finished off our alarm projects and did did a little review for the unit SCIENCES 8 - Eye dissection today!!! FSL 8
- Today we finished off our healthy living presentations and then worked on our restaurant ordering scripts before planning our Quartier Latin (mini cafe project) - June 3rd we have this SCIENCES 8
- Today we worked together to build notes for section 6-2 (will present them tomorrow) SCIENCES 9 - Today we started building an alarm system for a bedroom door or other door - Project with drawing and video are due Friday *** Unit test on electricity is Tuesday next week! FSL 8 - Today we worked on and presented our own healthy body/mind projects to our class SCIENCES 8
- Today we worked on our vision disorder projects....presentations will be Monday and Tuesday **** Quiz tomorrow on the parts and functions of the eye **** Eye dissections Thursday SCIENCES 9 - Today we worked on catching up on missed or poorly done work and we finished off our labs from last Thursday. **** Tomorrow we build bedroom door alarms and then we have our test next Monday on electricity. FSL 8 - Today we went down to Lloyd George and presented our healthy lifestyle ads....we then came back to SKSS to make a better version as the grade 2s showed us up! lol *** Tomorrow we will be presenting our own upgraded versions PRO-D day - Canoeing on the Thompson River
SCIENCES 8 - Today we took a look at the blind spot in our eyes and how our eyes adjust to colour and darkness - Time for our Science Fair projects SCIENCES 9 - Lab on resistance and graphing voltage vs current graphs (used a battery eliminator) FSL 8 - Today we reviewed the material from when Mr B was away an dthen we headed down to Lloyd George to continue working on our healthy lifestyle commercials. - MR BARKER WAS AWAY IN VANCOUVER ON FAMILY BUSINESS - FSL 8 - We worked our way through numbers 20-100 - Took a look at more food vocabulary - Looked at how to order in a restaurant and brainstormed ideas for our own food fair SCIENCES 8 - We looked at the parts and functions of the eye and spent 2 days working on researching vision disorders *** Vision disorder projects will be presented may 27th and 28th SCIENCES 9 - We took a look at Ohm's Law and resistance - Watched Electrojuice and Bill Nye - Electricity

- Science fair Friday - we only have a month left before we present our projects, so students should be collecting data and analyzing it all to put together their results in the next week or so. SCIENCES 9 - Ohm's Law notes and WSs FSL 8 - Today was the first trip to Lloyd George to work with our little grade 2 buddies in Mme Harmatuk's class on making ads for healthy living. SCIENCES 8
- Chapter 4+5 test FSL 8 - Finished Ratatouille and worked on some character descriptions with adjectives for personality as well as physical descriptions. SCIENCES 9 - Lab on amperage and current |
