- Today we researched our debate topic on whether or not cell phone radiation is bad for our health. We will be doing the debate Monday and will be working on our Science Fair projects tomorrow. *** Chapter 4 quiz Tuesday SCIENCES 10 - Today we researched the pros and cons of nuclear radiation as it pertains to our environment, our health and the economy. LEADERSHIP - Today we ran our "Pie the teacher" event at lunch and then walked down to the Paramount Theater to help the Kamloops Film Society re-organize all the movies from Movie Mart and fill bags for the Rocky Horror Picture show film this weekend.

- Today we went over our tests from Chapter 3 and then jumped into our physics unit looking at waves and frequency. *** Check out a couple of the great comic strips that the kids have been coming up with for the immune system!

- Work day on review for our Chapter 3 test Monday and on our comic strips on the immune system. *** Chapter 3 test Monday SCIENCES 10 - Today we looked at some of the reaction types that we see in Chemistry and did some practice questions on them. ex: single replacement, double replacement, synthesis and decomposition. Next week we will go over neutralization (review) and combustion. *** Quiz on 6-1 Wednesday next week LEADERSHIP - Today was a work day on our TED Talk reviews and time to work on our spirit weeks. *** We are presenting the TED talks Monday SCIENCES 10
- Today we wrote our Chapter 5 test. Tomorrow we will be getting into the different types of reactions in Chemistry. LEADERSHIP - Today the students presented their infomercials and we go the go ahead to work with the Kamloops Film Society SCIENCES 8 A Block: Today we worked on wrapping up our Canva projects on COVID, and the students received a review sheet for their Chapter 3 test as well as a cartoon assignment for the immune system (info on Google Classroom). B Block: Today we got to do our walk in Petersen Creek and explore the various medicinal plants found in our nearby neighbourhood. *** Comic strips is due Monday....the same day as our Chapter 3 test. -Block A: Today we did our Non-Fiction Reading Assessments (district evaluation) and then worked on our COVID-19 projects (due tomorrow). - Block B: Today we started our comic strips on the immune system and worked on a review worksheet for Monday's chapter test. SCIENCES 10 - Today we had one last review day for our chapter 5 test tomorrow on acids and bases etc. - Qs page 252 #1-6, 9-12, 16, 18-21 LEADERSHIP - Today was a work day on our infomercials, TED talks and our Halloween spirit week. *** Informercials are to be presented tomorrow. SCIENCES 8
- Today we wrote our vocab quiz for Chapter 3 and then plugged away on our COVID-19 infographics. *** Chapter 3 test will be next week Monday SCIENCES 10 - Today we write our quiz on acids and bases and salts and then did some review for Wednesday's test. LEADERSHIP - Today we worked on our TED talks, presented a few more Read Alouds for the students that missed it last class and the Halloween group got going in preparation for next week's Spirit Week. SCIENCES 8
- Today the students worked on their CANVA projects on COVID-19. There infographics will be due Wednesday next week. There is a vocab quiz on the vocab from Chapter 3 Monday. SCIENCES 10 - Today we looked at metal and non-metal oxydes and whether they form acids or bases. We also practiced naming acids. There is a quiz on Chapter 5 Monday and our chapter test will be Wednesday. LEADERSHIP - Today we presented more "Read Alouds" and worked on our infomercials and spirit weeks. |
