- Today we had a 'jig-saw' activity where the students got together in groups and prepared a section of our Chapter 6-2 part of the notes in preparation for the test this Wednesday. SCIENCES 10 - Today we flipped things up and worked on our projects instead of writing the test as there were many students feeling a little overwhelmed this morning. Test is now tomorrow and our projects are also due tomorrow. LEADERSHIP - We had one last day working on our banners for the basketball tournament this weekend. Students also worked on preparing to "deck the halls" this Wednesday.

- Quiz today on the parts of the eye and then we wrapped up our presentations on vision disorders. *** Chapter 6 open book and notes test will be next Wednesday SCIENCES 10 - Today was a genetics review day and time to work on our research projects or beaker baby drawings if they weren't done already. *** Genetics unit test is Monday and the research assignments are due Tuesday LEADERSHIP - Today we had time to work on our spirit weeks, our banners and we even had some people helping to re-assemble the ping pong club's tables.
SCIENCES 10 - Today we wrapped up our notes on genetics and continued our research on genetic engineering. Tomorrow we will do some genetics review to prepare for Monday's unit test. LEADERSHIP - Today we worked on goal setting and then had a spaghetti tower building challenge! - Students were to create 5 SMART goals from the list of subjects below: To give a broad, balanced coverage of all important areas in your life, try to set 5 SMART goals from some of the following categories (or in other categories of your own, where these are important to you):
SCIENCES 8 - Today we started presenting our vision disorder projects in front of the class. Some great projects for sure! Tomorrow we will be having our eye dissection, and then Thursday we will continue our presentations and we have a quiz on the parts and functions of the eye. SCIENCES 10 - Today was a research day for our genetic engineering techniques project. Projects will be due Tuesday next week. LEADERSHIP - Today we had a lesson on perspective SCIENCES 8
- Today we had our last work day on our vision disorder assignments. SCIENCES 10 - Today we worked with Ms Rimmer in the library on finding reputable sources for our project on Genetic Engineering and Ethics. We will be working on this over the course of the week and the project will be due Tuesday November 30th. LEADERSHIP - Today was another work day on our food drive, basketball tournament and getting the ping pong club up and running. **** MR BARKER WAS AWAY TODAY ***

SCIENCES 10 - Today we watched the remainder of our movie on GMO technologies "Food Evolution" LEADERSHIP - The snow melted too much to do our snow angels today, so we worked on our banners and food drive campaign. == SPORTS DAY == fpr Spirit Week this week!
== TWIN DAY for "LET'S GET DRESSED" Spirit Week SCIENCES 8 - Today we started our research on our vision disorder projects. We will continue to work on it Thursday and Monday and will present them Tuesday next week. LEADERSHIP - Today we started our work on getting ready for the school's big basketball tournament and the annual District Wide Food Drive for the food bank. SCIENCES 10 - Today we reviewed incomplete and co-dominance and then started out lab on blood typing to see if babies were swapped at birth in the hospital. |
