Today we reflect on the day of "Truth and Reconcilliation" as a school (no classes tomorrow for the holiday) SCIENCES 9 - Today we wrote our Chp 2 test and we will jump into Chp 3 with more chemistry next week. SCIENCES 8 - 3D cells were due today and we spent the class doing a Jeopardy review of Chp 1 in preparation for Monday's first Chapter test. SCIENCES 8
- Today we had a review for Chapter 1. The students could work on their "Feuille à Savoir" (need to know sheet), their crossword for vocab review or the following pages of questions from the textbook: p.21, 39, 49-51. - We also did some guided review to start the class and the kids were asked to read about "Les cellules souches" on page 38 in their text about stem cells. SCIENCES 9 - More review today. Time to work on our review pack and questions from pages 51, 63 and 71-73 from the textbook. Tomorrow is our test on Chp 2.

- Zinc and Hydrochloric acid lab today. We have moved the Bohr diagram to Tuesday so that we can finish our lab reports and do some more review Monday. SCIENCES 8 - Intro and research for a science fair topic that we will be working on for the next few months. SCIENCES 9
- Quiz on the periodic table - Time to work on our element posters (due Tuesday) *** Quiz on the Bohr model next Monday. SCIENCES 8 - Today was a work day on our 3D cells. We will have one more day next week to work on them and the cells will be due next Thursday.

- Today we drew animal cells with the compound microscope. *** Quiz on the parts and functions of the microscope tomorrow SCIENCES 9 - Today we practiced drawing Bohr models and took a look at valence shells and electrons. We also spent some time reviewing for Thursday's quiz on the periodic table by doing questions #1-5 on page 57 in the textbook. *** Quiz Thursday and Lab Friday SCIENCES 8
- Today we had our school grade meetings and then dove into Chapter 1 on the cell. We will continue with chapter 1 tomorrow using microscopes. SCIENCES 9 - Today we had our Chapter 1 quiz and then took a look at the periodic table. |
