- Today we wrote our quiz on section 7-2 and then continued on with review for Friday's Chapter 7 test or work on our science fair projects. *** Review questions in the book are on pages 272-273 MATH 8 - Today we wrote our quiz on volume, worked on our projects and checked out the thunder storm! *** Area/Volume projects and test will be due/written Friday! - Today we had a big review day for Chp 7 and we looked at Pergélisol/Permafrost - Students could work on review questions for tomorrow's 7-2 quiz (p. 271), or work on their vocab crossword or their "Feuille à Savoir" to prepare for Friday's chapter test. MATH 8 - Today we continued on with some volume review and then worked on our projects. The students have a quiz on volume tomorrow. *** Projects are due Friday and we will also have our Area and Volume test Friday. *** MR BARKER WAS AWAY TODAY ***
SCIENCES 8 - Today we spent the day working on our Science Fair projects (to be presented June 23rd) MATH 8 - Today we worked on our 3D models for our area and volume project MATH 8
- Today we had our quiz on area and then we inctroduced our 3D area and volume project. - We also spent time working in our books on 7.1-7.3 on volume SCIENCES 8 - Today we had a density lab where the students had to find the unknown densities of some cylinders and cubes.
MATH 8 - Today we reviewed how to calculate area for the three main shapes in Chapter 5 (rectangular and triangular prisms and cylinders). - Tomorrow we will jump into doing volume and by Friday we will start our project on creating a 3D object and calculating the areas and volumes of its parts. *** Quiz on Thursday on calculating area SCIENCES 8 - Intro do fluids and density today. We took a look at how fluids will create layers and how density can be calculated. *** Quiz on last week's notes on section 7-1 tomorrow!

- Science Fair Friday work today MATH 8 - Review of how to calculate the area of rectangular and triangular prisms and an introduction to the area of a cylinder. ENJOY THE NICE LONG WEEKEND! SCIENCES 8
- Today we went over our Chp 6 tests from yesterday and then dove into the Kinetic Molecular Theory and changes of state (Chapter 7-1). MATH 8 - Today we wrote the Waterlook Gauss Math contest to see how the kids would do and give them an idea as to what a Math competition in high school is like. Back to area work tomorrow. *** MR BARKER WAS AWAY SICK ***
SCIENCES 8 - Monday we did review for Tuesday's test, and Tuesday we had our open book and open notes test on Chp 6 (the eye/optics) MATH 8 - Monday we took a look at section 5-3 in our books on calculating the area of rectangular prisms, and Tuesday we continued on with triangular prisms and nets. |
